This week there are a number of showcases across the USA, courtesy of Prep Baseball Report and Baseball Factory. We also have one of many upcoming college baseball camps taking place in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout | Port St. Lucie, FL | Jan 14
The UA Baseball Factory National Tryout rolls into Port St. Lucie, FL on Monday. The showcase starts at 1pm and costs $99 for one position. Upgrades are available.
- Participate in a pro-style workout in front of Baseball Factory coaches and scouts.
- Receive an Under Armour Baseball Factory T-shirt as part of your participation
- Receive a verbal evaluation within 72 hours of your performance.
- Top performers may be selected to compete on an Under Armour Baseball Factory National Team.
PBR 2019 Central Florida Trials | Lakeland, FL | Jan 19
This showcase promises to have some of the top unsigned talent in the Southeast region. From the PBR website: The 2019 Central Florida Trials is an open event to all high school graduates with the goal of identifying top prospects to invite to upcoming 2019 Florida Preseason All-State as well as follow throughout the upcoming 2019 high school season. The top prospects at the Trials event who receive invitations to Preseason All-State will also get to use their Trials registration as credit towards the Preseason All-State registration. This will also be used as identifiers for the 2019 PBR Future Games and other premier invite-only events like the 2019 All-State Games and 2019 Top Prospect Games.
Team Camp at University of New Mexico | Albuquerque, NM | Jan 19-21
An interesting choice for players in the Southwest region is the University of New Mexico Team Camp. The camp is open to teams and individual players. The cost for an individual player is $100. From the UNM website: The Team Camp is designed for teams and players to get a jump on the spring season. Take advantage of UNM players and coaches instruction as your team, or player will receive a guarantee of 4 games and 1 team batting practice/ground ball session. Each field will have a UNM player umpiring. Each team will have an assigned UNM player to coach the team as well. The games will be showcase format with 3 outs or 5 hitters per inning.
PBR Wichita Winter Open Showcase | Wichita, KS | Jan 19
This is another outstanding option for prospective college players, courtesy of Prep Baseball Report. The Wichita Winter Open Showcase will be held at Hoover Field. Players will receive a profile on the PBR website, which will include scouting reports, statistics, and videos. The PBR website boasts over 800 subscriptions from college coaches, so players should expect to receive exposure from this event.
