Top 50 Baseball is an organizer of showcases for prospective college student-athletes. Top 50 events are held throughout the United States.
What To Expect At Top 50 Events
Along with instructing during drills and stations, the college coaches in attendance will use their combined years of baseball experience to measure you in the various objective metrics and subjective evaluations throughout the day. Being on the same field together at Top 50 events gives both coaches and players the opportunity to learn more about each other. All events will feature drill work, metric testing and various forms of live game simulation.
We encourage all registered baseball players to engage the coaches when appropriate throughout the event. Measurables are important. But coaches, like players, want to get to know the people they are going to spend four years with. It’s a great opportunity to talk with the people who can help you navigate the path to academic and athletic scholarships, as well as need-based aid, at their institutions. While talent and grades are obviously important, so is attitude, “coachability”, field presence, and the ability to work with teammates.
High School Players Considering College Baseball
With so many different levels of college baseball, it’s often hard to gauge where you stand. Coaches have a clear outline of the type of player that fits their academic and athletic profile. Top 50 events help families narrow down the options of college and baseball programs that may be best for them.
The events feature college baseball coaches from NCAA D1, DII, DIII, Junior College, and NAIA who are active throughout the event. Not only will coaches be present to take all measurements throughout the event, but they will be there to work with you on how to improve your game. See each event’s website for a list of specific programs.
Upon registering, 25% of the camp tuition as well as all convenience fees are a non-refundable deposit. The remaining portion of camp tuition can be refunded if requested one month prior to the original date of camp. (Example: A June 15th camp will have a refund deadline of May 15th). Since space is limited, no refunds will be given after this date for any reason. After the refund deadline, a full camp credit will be held for the registered player. At no point, will more than 75% of the camp tuition be refunded. You must use the "CONTACT US" link on the camp's website to request a refund. You will receive a confirmation of your refund request within 1-2 business days. Refunds will be issued back to the card used to register and typically appear on your statement within a week of being requested. Refunds will appear on your statement as a credit from "Top Showcases". Camp tuition can possibly be transferred (earliest refund date applies) to a different event if space is available. There is no guarantee as to the proximity of other sessions of events.
The coaches and instructors in attendance at the camp do not have any discretion when it comes to determining refunds. Please do not attempt to contact any of the coaches in attendance regarding refunds or insurance claims. Although it rarely happens, a coach may cancel their attendance in the camp beyond the control of the event organizers. A coach's lack of attendance is not grounds for any type of refund. On occasion inclement weather may occur on the camp date, during the camp, immediately after the camp or prior to the camp. Every effort will be made to hold the camp regardless of inclement weather. Should the camp be impossible to hold then full camp credit will be extended to future events either later that academic year or in future years. Inclement weather is not grounds for a refund.
